In 1977, Linda McCartney, who was not only his wife but also his bandmate and songwriting partner, was pregnant with their fourth child, so the couple took a break from recording Wings' sixth album, London Town. The McCartney family retired to Scotland, a place where the former Beatle had recorded plenty of demos and albums.
