Sean McVay and Les Snead met with the media on Thursday night after drafting Ty Simpson with the 13th overall pick in Round 1. Snead spoke highly of Simpson during the press conference, but McVay’s answers were brief and his body language didn’t resemble what you’d usually see from a coach who landed his next franchise QB.Fans and analysts took notice of McVay’s lack of excitement over the pick, questioning whether he was on board with it. He’s the head coach, and the two of them work incredibly closely on all things – including the draft process.Perhaps his reaction was subdued so as not to publicly celebrate the fact that the Rams just drafted Matthew Stafford’s replacement.
