[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content] Depraved new details have emerged in the shocking case of accused murderer D4vd. The singer, who has now been arrested and charged with first degree murder with special circumstances seven months after missing teen Celeste Rivas was found dead in his Tesla, could potentially be facing MORE charges… for some sickening things! The 21-year-old, born David Anthony Burke, appeared in court on Thursday, where prosecutors claimed to have found a “significant amount” of child sexual abuse images on his iPhone. As we’ve been following, in addition to D4vd’s first-degree murder and mutilating a body charges, he was hit with lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. During an arraignment on Monday, LA District Attorney Nathan Hochman claimed there is evidence D4vd engaged in a sexual relationship with Celeste from the time she was 13, though it’s not clear if the child sexual abuse material discovered on his phone features the murdered teen.
So disturbing. Multiple outlets reported that during his court appearance on Thursday, which marks one year to the DAY prosecutors say Celeste was last seen alive, D4vd appeared glum and possibly even bored. He didn’t say much — just “Yes, ma’am” in response to Judge Charlaine Olmedo explaining the preliminary hearing process, which is scheduled for May 1.
However, D4vd will next appear in court on April 29 regarding new discoveries… According to journalist Meghann Cuniff, prosecutors claim the LAPD conducted a court-authorized phone wiretap during their investigation, which was launched after Celeste’s remains were found. Prosecutor Beth Silverman said: “We have not received anything from that wiretap yet, but again, that will be something that will take time to produce. D4vd’s defense team noted they are awaiting the “basic physical evidence,” while the DA’s office revealed they possess more than 40 terabytes of discovery evidence to hand in.
They further revealed they will be ready for the prelim next week, and expressed a desire for a trial within 60 days, where they will present physical, forensic, and digital evidence connecting D4vd to Celeste’s murder. If convicted, the death penalty is on the table. As of now, the disgraced singer has pleaded not guilty, but is being held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility — yes, the same place Nick Reiner is being held in.
