The Deb is a fun-loving romp about two teenagers looking for a date to the dance, but the drama behind the scenes has been anything but heartwarming. The movie musical, set in the Australian outback, has been delayed for more than two years thanks to a legal battle that has pitted director Rebel Wilson against the movie's producer, its screenwriter and its lead actress. It all started back in 2024, when Wilson accused the producers of blocking the movie's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
