The Transformersfranchise has been a staple of pop culture since the toys were first released back in the '80s, with the release of both the toys and animated series working together to boost the awareness of the other. Despite interest in the concept dwindling in the '90s, Michael Bay's 2007 Transformers movie performed in a way no one could have imagined, as it went on to take in $709.7 million worldwide. Since then, the franchise has taken in more than $5.2 billion worldwide. The most recent entry, however, was 2023's Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which took in the lowest box office since the live-action franchise launched.
