ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s services exports in March 2026 dropped by 6.26 percent to 286.92 million dollars, compared to the same period last year, the island’s Export Development Board said. Exports earnings from ICT/BPM fell 26.48 percent to 169.46 million dollars in March 2026 compared with March 2025. Earnings from construction fell 38.99 percent to 9.56 million dollars year-on-year.
Transport and logistics fell 33.73 percent to 101.08 million. However, financial services grew 74.53 percent to 6.82 million dollars. Total exports of goods and services for March 2026 was 1,467.31 billion US dollars, down 5.2 percent. (Colombo/Apr24/2026)
