Despite the constituency having a major number of paddy fields in the district covering regions such as Thazhakudy, Theroor, Nallur, Suchindram, Parakkai, Kadukkarai, Boothapandy, Therekalputhor and others, several grievances of the farmers are yet to be addressed.
